Delete your Phone Guardian account
Phone Guardian publishes the Phone Guardian app for family members and the Phone Guardian Safe Calls app for the person being protected. Pick the section that applies to you. If anything is unclear, email support@isilive.ca — you never need to sign in to ask for a deletion. Our full privacy policy explains what we collect and why.
Delete your Phone Guardian account
This applies to guardians — family members who sign in to the Phone Guardian app or the website. Deleting your account is permanent.
From the app
- Open Phone Guardian and go to Settings.
- Tap Delete account, then Delete my account.
- Type
DELETEto confirm. You are signed out as soon as it completes.
From the website
- Sign in at https://pg.isilive.ca/sign-in.
- Open Settings → Privacy.
- Under Delete your account, choose Delete my account and type
DELETE.
Account owners: if you own a subscription, cancel it first under Settings → Billing. Cancelling deletes that subscription’s lines and all of its call data; the deletion page will remind you if a subscription is still active. You can download an export from Settings → Privacy before you cancel.
If you can’t sign in
Email support@isilive.ca from the address on your account with the subject “Delete my Phone Guardian account”. We will verify the request (by replying to that address) and complete the deletion within 30 days. No login is needed.
What is deleted
For any guardian who deletes their account:
- your sign-in identity (your Clerk user, including sign-in history);
- your profile name, email address and guardian phone number;
- your memberships on every protected line;
- your notification devices (push tokens) and web-push subscriptions;
- your notification-seen and call-viewed records.
For an account owner who cancels a subscription, additionally:
- the subscription’s lines, allow/block lists, settings, invitations and linked Phone Guardian Safe Calls devices;
- all calls, transcripts, recordings, risk assessments, voicemails, alerts and in-call chat.
What is kept, and for how long
- Chat messages you sent during calls stay in the family’s call record with your name removed, until that call is deleted by retention (90 days by default, owner-configurable 1–3650 days) or by the owner.
- “Marked safe” marks and activity entries you created are kept with your name removed, on the same schedule.
- The audit log entry recording that your account was deleted (no personal data; internal IDs and counts only) is kept for 365 days.
- Stripe keeps invoices and payment records as required by financial record-keeping law.
- A closed, anonymized subscription record (named “Deleted account”) remains as the anchor for the audit log.
- Server request logs containing IP addresses are deleted after at most 90 days.
Delete your data — Phone Guardian Safe Calls
This applies to the protected person — the parent or loved one whose phone answers screened calls with the Phone Guardian Safe Calls app. The app has no account and no login: it was linked to your phone line once with a setup code shown by a family member (a “guardian”).
Ask us directly — no login needed
Email support@isilive.ca (or ask someone to email on your behalf) with the subject “Delete my Phone Guardian Safe Calls data” and the phone number that is protected. Tell us which you want:
- Unlink my phone — the app stops receiving calls and its device record is revoked;
- Delete my call recordings and transcripts; or
- Stop the service completely — the line is removed and all of its data is deleted.
We will confirm that you are the person who uses that number (for example by calling it) before making changes, and complete the request within 30 days. We will let the account owner know, because stopping the service affects their subscription.
Or ask your family member
Any guardian with owner or admin access can do this immediately on the website (https://pg.isilive.ca):
- Unlink the phone: Settings → Lines → your line → Unlink this phone.
- Delete call history (recordings, transcripts and call records): Settings → Privacy → Delete call history (owner only).
- Stop the service: Settings → Billing → cancel the subscription (owner only). Cancelling deletes the line and all of its data.
Uninstalling the app
Uninstalling Phone Guardian Safe Calls removes everything stored on the phone (the device credential and settings). It does not by itself delete data already on our servers or unlink the phone — use one of the routes above for that. Calls to your number will keep going through the service until the line is removed or call forwarding is turned off.
What is deleted, and what is kept
- Call recordings, transcripts, risk assessments and voicemails are deleted automatically after 90 days unless your family changed the period (1–3650 days), and immediately when a guardian deletes call history or cancels.
- Unlinking revokes the device record. The revoked record (device model, app version and push token) is deleted together with the line when the subscription is cancelled or the service is stopped at your request.
- The audit log keeps an entry that the phone was enrolled or unlinked (including the device model) for 365 days; it contains no call content.
- Server request logs containing IP addresses are deleted after at most 90 days.
- Telnyx, our telephony carrier, keeps call records and per-call quality reports under its own retention schedule; ask us and we will forward a deletion request to it.
